Abstract
This paper presents an eddy current testing method by using impulse response. When the impulse voltage is applied to the exciting coil, eddy current is induced in a metal specimen. If a crack exists in the metal, the eddy current is distorted due to a flaw. By applying the impulse voltage, the time variation of the eddy current and exciting current can be added as the sensing data to conventional methods
