Abstract
The temperature dependence of the magnon energies and sublattice magnetisation of the trigonal layered antiferromagnets CoBr 2 and CoCl 2 is investigated using a self-consistently renormalised (SCR) spin-wave theory. Good agreement is found with Raman and neutron scattering data.
