Abstract
Basic principles and diagrams of the magnetic-discharge acceleration of current-conducting solids for performing applied-shock tests of various materials and products under laboratory conditions are considered. A pilot laboratory magnetic-discharge throwing facility is described. Its basic technical characteristics and experimental results are presented.
