Abstract
The cross sections for the inelastic scattering of electrons with excitation of the 1+ and 2- states of 58Ni are calculated using the DWBA. Their structure is calculated within the quasiparticle-phonon nuclear model taking the interaction of one- and two-phonon states into account. The interaction is shown to be important for the explanation of the experimental data of Lindgren et al. (1976).
