Abstract

A series of CoPtCr/Cr trilayer thin films with varying Cr underlayer thickness have been studied to investigate interaction effects between and within the layers. The inter and intralayer coupling is examined via the differentiated remanence curves and the ΔI technique. From the results it is clear that two distinct forms of behaviour are present in these materials.
