Abstract

Digital fabrication is emerging quickly in the architecture industry and is beginning to reinforce the building process. This emergence brings with it a focus on natural, recyclable and local materials overlapping with global access to data and digital tools. We are now able to explore the possibilities of merging these technologies and developing a new system of design. What can examining the collaboration of these techniques tell us about the future of architecture? As this field is gaining momentum in exploring the process of production, we were led to focus on a system in additive manufacturing.
