Abstract

The problem of reflection of inhomogeneous plane waves from the free surface of a fiber-reinforced magneto-thermoelastic rotating material has been investigated. The phase speeds of quasi longitudinal, quasi transverse and quasi thermal waves are derived. The reflection coefficients and the energy ratios are obtained. The magnetic and rotational effects on the reflection coefficients and energy ratios are computed numerically and presented graphically. It is found that the magnetic field and rotation influence the reflection coefficients and energy ratios significantly. Critical angles are observed for incident quasi transverse wave. The sum of energy ratios has been verified to validate the problem.
