Abstract

Magnetisation and magnetoreflectivity of quaternary semimagnetic semiconductors with small Mn mole fraction: cubic Zn 0.1Cd 0.89Mn 0.01Te and wurtzite Cd 0.99Mn 0.01Se 0.3Te 0.7 were studied. Magnetisation measurements, performed by SQUID technique at temperature of T=2 K in the magnetic field up to 5 T exhibited paramagnetic like behaviour. Magnetoreflectivity measurements were also performed in the magnetic field up to 5 T and temperature T=2 K in Faraday and Voigt configuration. Exchange integrals for both materials based on experimentally obtained data were calculated. Results were compared with those for ternary semimagnetic semiconductors.
