Abstract
We succeeded in growing a high-quality single crystal of UFeGa 5 by the self-flux method and measured the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillation. Many dHvA branches were observed, ranging from 5.4×10 5 to 1.4×10 8 Oe. These branches are in good agreement with theoretical ones based on 5 f -itinerant RLAPW band calculations. The cyclotron mass is relatively large, ranging from 2.4 to 9.9 m 0 .
