Abstract

Abstract The amorphous (Fe x Ni 1− x ) 77 B 13 Si 10 (a-Fe-Ni) and Invar Fe x B 100− x alloys have been studied. It was shown that a-FeNi alloys with x ⩾ 0.08 undergo reentrant paramagnetic-ferromagnetic-spin glass (PM-FM-SG) transition. A ‘narrow’ resonance peak has been observed in the ESR spectra of a-FeNi in a limited temperature range. It was shown that when a frustrated FM is cooled, the formation of reentrant SG states is preceded by the appearance of canted state.
