Abstract

Magnetic aftereffect measurements were performed on a series of hydrogen charged alloys Sm2Fe17Hx (x = 0, 0.1, 1.3, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0) and Sm2Fe17Dx (x = 4, 5). The maxima observed may be related to relaxation of stoichiometric vacancies, for pure Sm2Fe17, and jumping processes of H atoms between two energetically distinct interstitial sites, for Sm2Fe17Hx.
