Abstract

Some forage corn varieties in a variety test indicated magnesium deficiencies. The deficiency varied according to the variety. The most severely affected variety Pioneer 3690 yielded 25% of the normal while the yield of Pioneer 3695 was unaffected. The abnormal wet and cool weather during the growing season was the main determinant.
