Abstract

The idea of a potential antagonism between ontological precommitments and reality as we might come to know it is called into question by suggesting a more dialogal understanding of the very connection (and exchange) between ontology and empirical relationality. A clarification of phenomenology's development of ontology out of an appreciation for the fundamental relationality of all psychological experience is advanced to situate the kindred relationship between Gergen's intellectual forbearers and his own forays into the magical world of relational being.
