Abstract

Intraocular vascular complications of orbital masses are rare. A patient with a hemangioma abutting the macula is discussed in whom ophthalmoscopic and fluorescein angiographic findings were consistent with either choroidal infarction or disciform degeneration. This case demonstrates a previously unrecognized mechanical etiology for choroidal ischemic lesions of the macula.
