Abstract
ABSTRACT In Pb(Zr1 Ti)O3, experiments have shown that conductivity is p-type (Jaffe &Co., 1970). The excess of cation overoxygen vacancies causes a superoxidation of many simple oxides, including Zr02 (Rudolph. 1959). These A positionvacancies attract electrons to complete the electron shells of surrounding oxygens: they act as acceptors causing thepresence of holes in the lattice. The new rcvised theoretical model prcsenls the basic steps in the solid plasma linear analysisof any acousto-eleciric problem. Keywords: PZT-ceramic, macroscopic model, linear equation, dispersion equation, linear mode 1. INTRODUCTION The piezoelectric effect in the first piezoeleetne ceramic with perovskite structure, BaTiO3, was discovered in 1947 byRoberts. As a more thorough undersianding ofthe solid solutions ofBaTiO3 series was being developed, many other ABO3-tWe ferroelectrics and antiferroelecthcs with oxigen-octahedron structure, such as PbTiO, KnbO3, KtaO, NaNbO3,NaTaO3, PbZiO3, PbH!03, LiNbO3 and LiTaO3, ivere discovered one after the other.
