Abstract
The mechanistically defined attributes of primed MSCs as here described not only provide a novel use case of MIF activated MSCs that can address the potency shortcomings of generic culture-adapted MSCs for acute lung injury but also provide some intriguing "Rosetta Stone" insights on plausible invivo physiology of MSCs with host innate effectors such as macrophages in response to inflammation.
