Abstract
Cover: The scanning electron micrograph image shows an integral asymmetric block copolymer membrane as obtained from casting a solution of a polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinylpyridine) diblock copolymer in a mixed solvent onto a non-woven support layer with subsequent precipitation into a water bath. Membranes of this type have a very narrow pore size distribution and a very high pore number density, which cannot easily be achieved by other techniques.
