Abstract

Front Cover: Polymer carbon nanotube nanocomposites are prepared by melt-mixing a poly(oxymethylene)/poly(l-lactic acid) (POM/PLLA) blend and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). Investigation of the crystallization behaviour shows that the MWCNTs first selectively nucleate POM to yield novel “mace-like” hybrid structure crystals, which then serve as efficient polymeric nucleating agents of PLLA. The crystallization rate and crystallinity are remarkably enhanced.
