Abstract

A numerical investigation of the macromixing effect on the bistable ClO−2+I− reaction based on the global fluid flow field was undertaken in this work. Results obtained in this study indicated that the mixing intensity has a significant effect on the location and transition point of the thermodynamic branch, but has nearly no effect on the flow branch.
