Abstract

AbstractBy means of an extrusion technique, a uniformly oriented macrolattice based on an alternating sequence of polystyrene and polybutadiene lamellae has been obtained. This is confirmed by the techniques of low‐angle x‐ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and electron diffraction. Layer thicknesses and spacings have been derived, and good quantitative agreement exists between the values obtained by the different methods. In addition, the electron micrographs exhibit many singular features which are of potential importance both in their own right and for the macroscopic properties.
