Abstract

The interplay between agriculture and the rest of the economy and the importance of the income distribution have been central to the macroeconomic analyses of semi-industrialized economies. A macrodynamic model is developed to investigate the adjustment mechanisms in the medium run. It is shown how the roles of agriculture and income distribution depend on the macroeconomic situation and how the medium run adjustments may differ from short run effects.
