Abstract

A PC-based line-scan machine vision system providing rapid measurement of bare-root seedling morphological features has been developed. Designed for quality control and morphological data acquisition by nursery personnel, the machine provides a user-friendly, menu-driven graphical interface. Individual seedlings are manually placed on a conveyor belt and inspected in less than 0.25 seconds.
