Abstract
Background: Clinically-relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula (CR-POPF) following Whipple is a major complication and the primary determinant of surgical outcomes. Many risk calculators have been developed to identify patients at higher risk of developing CR-POPF. However, most of these published tools utilize intraoperative and postoperative variables, limiting their utility in the preoperative setting. We aimed to create a risk calculator for CR-POPF following Whipple using only preoperative variables.
