Abstract

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU) is characterized by recurrent urticaria or angioedema present for at least six weeks. It affects roughly one percent of the general population and is twice as common in women than men. Autoimmune conditions are also more common in women and those diagnosed with CIU.
