Abstract

Intravenous drug use (IVDU) associated infective endocarditis (IE) provides an immense clinical challenge due to the complicated management and compliance issues associated with this population. To improve our understanding of how to best manage these patients and improve their survival, this study aimed to characterise the IVDU-associated IE population seen at our tertiary hospital, determine their long-term outcomes, and find risk factors associated with mortality.
