Abstract
Taking advantage of the relation of the M2 factor for Gaussian Schell model sources in terms of the global coherence parameter, derived by Santarsiero et al., we have shown in this paper the invariance of the M2 factor through its connection with geometrical Etendue of the pencil, along each independent coordinate.
