Abstract

Mucinous cystic pancreatic lesions (CPLs) are premalignant. EUS-FNA is widely used for evaluating such lesions but has limited sensitivity. We have previously reported that cytology samples obtained by a 19-gauge through-the-needle cytologic brush at the time of EUS (EchoBrush®) had a superior diagnostic yield compared to standard FNA.
