Abstract

Diagnosis and symptom control in asthma are challenging due to difficulty in capturing the exacerbation between control visits. With the development of a portable spirometry technology, the ability for digital remote lung function monitoring has emerged, similar to Holter monitoring in cardiac arrhythmias. In this study, we describe the novel procedure called Spirometry Holter. It consists of 30-days of remote monitoring using a medical-certified mobile app and a hospital-grade portable spirometer (AioCare, Healthup).
