Abstract

Asthma exacerbations have a broad range of provoking factors including poor compliance, inhaler technique, upper airway disease, and various environmental exposures. This rare case identifies a 36-year-old female with asthma and hypogammaglobulinemia on IVIG who presented with an acute exacerbation of asthma attributed to pulmonary vasculitis secondary to Serratia marcescens bacteremia.
