Abstract
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in the deaths of millions of people worldwide. The current mechanism of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine allergy and the causative antigen is not known. The FDA Emergency Use Authorization for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recommends against administration in those with a history of severe allergic reaction to components of the vaccine. We present a patient with previous anaphylactic reaction to PEG-asparaginase who successfully received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
