Abstract
Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) is a condition in which patients experience recurrent episodes of anaphylactic symptoms due to idiopathic mast cell mediator release. MCAS symptoms include hypotension or flushing and at least one of the following: pruritus, urticaria, angioedema, nasal congestion, nasal pruritus, wheezing, throat swelling, headache, and/or diarrhea.
