Abstract

Kounis syndrome (KS) is defined as the concurrence of an acute coronary syndrome with a hypersensitivity reaction. KS prevalence in the US has been estimated at 1.1% among patients hospitalized for allergic reactions, with antibiotics and hymenoptera venom reported as the most common triggers.
