Abstract

This paper is to return to the example of the problem in the current feminist situation of the ‘Me Too movement’ and to establish the gender identity which is the core of the problem correctly. To do this, I will analyze Volf ’s gender identity discussion in detail to find out how gender identity should be understood. Volf examines gender identity in terms of the ‘Hypostasis composition’ and ‘life to give’ of the Trinity God. And through the ‘superior that remains as himself after giving him up and accepting the batter’, he introduces the gender identity that is not only a woman without a man, but also the reverse. Finally, through the love that Christ gave himself to the church, both men and women demand to imitate the eternal embrace of ‘the Divine Hypostasis’. Therefore, this paper will follow Volf ’s discussion and digest Volf ’s ideas enough. And I will present the question that remains after that: it will reinterpret Nietzsche’s ideas, which are different from Volf ’s. The conclusion is that both men and women should be modeled on the eternal embrace of ‘the Divine Hypostasis’ through the love that Christ gave himself to the church. There will be genuine feminism and gender equality.
