Abstract

1. 1. Cathepsin D and aryl sulphatase enzyme activities were compared from skeletal muscle homogenates of tail and cheliped closer muscles. 2. 2. Tail muscle homogenates demonstrated latent acid hydrolytic enzyme activities. 3. 3. Fractionation of total homogenates by differential centrifugation and post-nuclear extracts by isopycnic-zonal centrifugation demonstrates the presence of lysosomes which can be partially separated from mitochondria.
