Abstract
The article is dedicated to the lyrical hero in A. P. Sumarokov’s poetry. Although this writer has a genre thinking, which was typical for 18th century, he created a group of texts that can’t be attributed to specific genres. They are united by a common lyrical subject that has autobiographical traits. The same lyrical subject appears in the texts of different genres, he is at the center of the Sumarokov’s poetic system. So in the works of Sumarokov there are signs that anticipated the work of the Romantics — the lyrical hero, first of all.
