Abstract

IN those species which have been sufficiently studied there is evidence of a single major histocompatibility locus (man, mouse, rat, chicken) that plays a predominant part in graft rejection. We present evidence for the existence of such a major locus in pigs by using the mixed lymphocyte reaction1,2.
