Abstract
The history of the founding of the publishing house "Lybid" dates back to 1835, when a year after the opening of the Kiev University of St. Vladimir began printing.
 The history of the foundation is described in detail in the book "Her Majesty - a book. The history of publishing at the University of Kiev 1834-1999" by M. Tymoshyk - a famous journalist, doctor of philology, who once worked as editor in chief of the publishing house "Lybid".
