LXII George Roerich Annual International Meeting. Text and Cultural Dynamics: Ancient and Medieval India and Central Asia

Abstract

This article is an overview of the George Roerich Annual International Meeting. In 2022, it was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian orientalist George Roerich (russ.: Yurii Nikolaevich Rerikh 1902–1960), in whose memory this conference is being held. In the memorial part, the speakers told about Roerich's scientific achievements in the field of Tibetology and Indology. The subject of the scientific part corresponded to the stated theme — “Text and cultural dynamics: Ancient and medieval India and Central Asia” and covered the geographical area of the sphere of scientific interests of George Roerich. The speakers presented their latest research of this region, related to various fields of science — philology, literary studies, linguistics, philosophy, cultural history, religious studies and art history.
