Abstract

Martin Luther and his work have had tremendous importance in Denmark ever since King Christian III officially introduced the Reformation in 1536. While a complete list of Luther's writings in Danish may defy the historical record, the essay sketches how many of Luther's works came to be translated and published into the Danish language between the sixteenth century and today.
