Abstract

The results of high-resolution, metre-wavelength observations, together with optical identification data, are presented for 17 discrete sources that dominate the radio emission from the direction of 15 Abell clusters. With only two exceptions, all the sources have been resolved. The sample contains two head-tail sources, including that in the X-ray emitting cluster Abell 401. The spectral indices of both the head and tail components of this source are found to be ≈ 0.8 and the size of its tail exhibits no strong dependence on the observing frequency.
