LUNAR AND PLANETARY SCIENCE CONFERENCEHOUSTON, TEXAS-- The star attraction at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, held here near NASA's Johnson Space Center from 15 to 19 March, was Mars and its water. Researchers showed images of a small area that appears to have been scoured by torrential rainstorms during the planet's latter days of extreme cold and ice.
