Abstract

As people spend more time interacting with information through display visualizations, the impacts of the light emitted by the displays on human health have attracted great attention. The integration of white-color chip-scale-packaged (CSP) LEDs with tricolor mini-LEDs into a single pixel is proposed to achieve red–green–blue-white (RGBW) two-in-one integrated matrix devices (IMDs) for self-emissive displays. The RGBW approaches possess the advantages of reduced color differences at large viewing angles or higher temperatures and suppressed circadian effects, demonstrating their potential as the elementary units for healthy displays.
