Abstract
Dy3+ doped germanosilicate glass was prepared by high temperature melting method. The relationship among the glass's structure, the luminescent properties and the ratio of Ge/Si was analyzed in the glass matrix. The influence of Dy3+ ions concentration on the luminescent properties was studied as well. The results indicate that the samples' light emission in the visible band is mainly in the yellow region at 574 nm and blue region at 483 nm of Dy3+ ions. The ratio of Ge/Si affected the glass's luminous intensity by changing the asymmetry of the coordination field of Dy3+ and the porosity of the network structure. And the optimal concentration of Dy3+ is 0.5 mol%, where the distance between Dy3+ ions is 3.521 Å. After calculating the chromaticity coordinates of CIE, it shows that the color temperature of the glass is 5404–6884 k, which is close to the neutral white emission of natural light.
