Abstract

It has been determined that 374 nm is the optimal excitation wavelength for Tb4O7 doped glass ceramics. XRD, SEM, UV spectrophotometer, and photoluminescence spectroscopy were used to study glass ceramics morphology and luminescence properties. 730°C is the optimal temperature for crystallizing. At 0.4mol% Tb4O7 concentration and 2h crystallization time, this is the optimum solution. The results of this study indicate that glass-ceramics doped with Tb3+ can be applied to green lasers and other systems.
