Abstract
Luminescence and kinetic characteristics of polystyrene nanocomposites with luminescence impurities of p-Terphenyl, POPOP and CeF3 nanoparticles were studied. Intensity of X-ray excited luminescence of the polystyrene scintillation composites containing CeF3 nanoparticles (40 wt%) has been established to substantially increase (up to 16 times), mainly due to excitation energy transfer from the CeF3 nanoparticles to the polystyrene matrix by means of the electron escape mechanism.
