Abstract

The luminescence of plagioclase was studied for various types of sialic rocks from crystalline shields of the East European Craton and median masses in fold regions of central and western Europe. The variation of luminescence (contributions of various luminogens) bears information on the specific features of the tectonomagmatic and geochemical evolution of particular tectonic units and the geological history of the continental crust of Europe as a whole.
