Abstract

The results of a multifaceted investigation of the luminescence properties of single crystals of copper-aluminum diselenide CuAlSe2 are presented. The luminescence spectrum of undoped single crystals of this compound with homogeneous composition was found to have a complex structure. The luminescence properties were modified by annealing the compound in various atmospheres. The nature of the radiative transitions in this semiconductor was analyzed.
