Abstract

Europium(III) complexes are urgently needed in practical application of optoelectronic devices. Here, strongly red-light emitting ternary europium(III) complexes have been successfully synthesized through the co-chelating effect of hfa and bidentate organophosphine-functionalized ionic liquid. The ionic liquid can increase the luminescence performance and thermal stability of complexes effectively. Based on the good dissolving ability of the obtained Europium(III) complexes and poly(methylmethacrylate) in dimethylformamide, a flexible and transparent film was constructed via solution casting method, and revealed great potential application value in collapsible optoelectronic devices.
