Abstract
The Mg0.5-x-yTi2(PO4)3:xTb3+, yEu3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The photoluminescence excitation spectra and the luminescence emission spectra of Tb3+/Eu3+ single doped and co-doped Mg0.5Ti2(PO4)3 phosphors have been measured. The energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ was proved by emission spectra, excitation spectra and decay curves. The emission colors of Mg0.5-x-yTi2(PO4)3:xTb3+, yEu3+ phosphors under 380nm excitation are located at purple areas, purplish areas, pink areas and reddish orange areas. The results of color coordinates show that the color-tunable luminescence can be realized by adjusting the concentrations of Tb3+ and Eu3+ ions. The experiment presents that single-component Mg0.5-x-yTi2(PO4)3:xTb3+, yEu3+ phosphors are promising for application in the luminescence.
