Abstract

Visual method of identification of the branch type of resonant transition is suggested in this paper. The method is basedon the measurement ofratio ofprimary photon echo amplitude to stimulated photon echo amplitude in the magnetic field, when the effect of non-Faraday rotation of the photon echo polarization vector is occurred. The experimental results ofidentification of the resonant transitions in the vapor of molecular iodine are demonstrated. The results were checked bythe measurement ofthe maximum rotation angle range ofprimary photon polarization vector. This parameter is similarlycharacterized the resonam transition. For the first time fact ofregistration ofthe non-Faraday rotation polarization vectorofstimulated echo, formed on the different resonant transitions (Q-branch or P(R)-hranch), is reported. Keywords: primary photon echo, stimulated photon echo, identification of the resonant transitions, non-Faraday rotationof the photon echo polarization, vapors of molecular iodine, magnetic field, Q -
